Prejudice.

Wrote a song about it.

Wanna heart it?
HERE IT GOES

FREE YA MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNDDDD!

Haha. Totally not what I wanted to blog about. Just popped into my head. Oh En Vogue.
Go listen to it. Remember the 90's.

Then give thanks that the 90's are over:

The 90's one saving grace = Nintendo. I may, or may not, still play.

The birth of teenage angst soap operas. My So Called Life.

I was searching for some pic of hideous 90's clothes, but I realized that in posting any of the ones I found I would undoubtedly give a certain sibling of mine ideas for new outifts. To avoid any responsibility in that area, I'm posting these awesome sneakers. And by awesome, I mean hideous.

My dad had this phone.
As a matter of fact, I believe it's still out in the garage.
P.S. Welcome back, Kristina! Blog & I missed you.

Apology Note

My dearest blog,

I'm sorry I've been so busy lately. I haven't been particularly good at keeping you updated, and that's all my fault. It was nice of you to tell Calee to text me, saying you missed me. I've missed you too, blog. I've missed you too.

All the puppy talk is probably getting to you, isn't it? I thought I would come interfere before you exploded from another adorable photo of a puppy-private-part on Cory's face. Haha! I was going to say more, but I'll just leave it at that.

I think a reason I've been a little MIA lately is that my life is a smidge too complicated to be blogging about. I know - lame excuse, isn't it? Just when all the dirt comes along, I get a little shy about sharing.

I don't really have time at the moment to divulge everything, but here's the readers digest version. Ready?

Jan came back. Yep. It's the truth. Nope, I'm not talking about the first time. Yep, he came back again, a second time. Confusing? Yes. Are we dating? No. Do I see him? Yes. What does that mean? I have no idea.

I've been facebook fighting with my british boyfriend. It sucks. Although I do feel super mature having 'facebook fighting' as a totally normal way to describe my relationship.

The GMAT went well, but not as well as I had hoped. By 30 points, actually. So I'm taking it again because I'm too stubborn to just accept a score that's lower than my goal. I'm only applying to a few schools this year, the main one being Oxford. And I'm dead serious about it. I really, genuinely hope I get in.

My job is awesome. I'm really happy with it. I've been busy in a good, normal, happy way. What a relief! I know things are weird in my life right now, but when are they not? I feel like I have a little piece of normalcy right now that I haven't had in a long time, and I'm taking it for what it's worth.

I have a lot more to say, especially since it's been so long. I'm sorry. It will have to wait until next time.

Thanks for not being too mad, blog. It was nice to visit again. I love that we can not see each other for a while and still talk like old times.

xoxo

... Gossip girl.

hahahaa. I couldn't help it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

P.S. A big shout out to Jana Beck for the Dear Life Blog inspiration. <3

We'll end with random iPhone photos from lately.

My Christmas Present from Steph :)

Brooke's awesome note to her roommates upon finding her granola bars were gone. I went into her apartment when she wasn't home to drop off a crock-pot present (random) and saw it on the counter and laughed and laughed.

All Tucker-ed out...

So last Saturday we built a dog run in my parent's back yard (pictures coming soon!), bought all sorts of puppy-related goodness at Petco & WalMart (crate, leash, harness, etc...), then went and picked up our PUPPY!!

He seemed a bit sleepy on the drive home (from El Cajon), so I let him sleep in my lap. When we got home, he seemed a bit disoriented...so he took another nap, then slept through the night. The next day he perked up a little, and made it about three hours wide awake before succombing to an hour-long siesta. Aaaand he falls asleep nightly around eight. Wakes up around 3 AM to go to the bathroom, then sleeps until 7AM.

WHO IS THIS DOG?!

I thought puppies were supposed to be constantly hyper and crazy?? Don't get me wrong, he does his fair share of funny puppy things (like chasing his reflection in the mirror, jumping and barking at his toys, using his very sharp baby teeth to chew your socks - with your feet still inside of them, etc...) - but he mostly loves to cuddle and sleep. Turns out schnauzers sleep on average 13 hours a day! Haha - I have the BEST puppy EVER!

So all the names we were considering got chucked out the window when we realized what a sleepy little guy we had, in favor of the name 'Tucker' - in honor of how 'tuckered out' he always is :)

Here are some pictures! Enjoy!

Napping on Cory's head.

Napping on Cory's arm.

Smiling while napping on his back.

Cory watching Sports Center & Tucker (napping, of course).

This was taken shortly before (and after) a nap.

I took him to the vet to make sure all is well, and the vet told me he's healthy!
Welcome home, Tucker :)
